A lone figure swam silently along the sandy bottom of the sea, gracefully moving from one coral to another, studying their intricate design with an artist's critical eye. Schools of tiny silver fish darted in and out of the sight of the maiden of the sea. A rush of bubbles graced the woman's exposed skin as she broke through their numbers, sending them scattering along the reef. With a strong kick she swam effortlessly through the aqua coloured liquid. The water embraced her like a mother to a child. Even the fish seem at times to acknowledge her presence. The water, the sea is her element. With teal wavy hair she resembles the ocean waves herself. For she is the chosen senshi of the seas, the goddess of the Neptune.
Always elegant and polite, Kaioh Michiru is a lady with maturity, beauty, and grace beyond her age. Her talents are seemingly endless. She is a well known violinist, a famous painter, and an excellent swimmer. However, her beauty, elegance, and expanding popularity keep others from seeing the truth inside her. Deep down she is simply a warrior. Kaioh Michiru is a sailor senshi, guardian of the Solar System, continuing servant of the Moon Kingdom. The senshi of grace with the power of Deep Aqua Mirror Talisman -- Sailor Neptune.
But there is a secret behind this elegant and powerful senshi that she hides close to her heart. Kaioh Michiru wanted to be free from her senshi life. Her dream was simply to become a world famous known violinist. But she's bears the same fate as all soldiers. A senshi that would sacrifice anything, even her own dreams to fulfill her mission at no cost. While the others are willing to risk their lives to protect their precious Moon Princess; her heart only sees and hears a certain sandy blonde haired senshi by the name of Sailor Uranus, her beloved. "A world without Haruka is hardly worth saving" was a phrase the senshi of Neptune had uttered once to a foe who did not believe Michiru would destroy the world if it took Haruka's life. Her Tenoh Haruka, Sailor Uranus, the senshi of the rushing wind was her destined friend, partner and lover. For so long after meeting her senshi partner for the first time, the sea goddess had secretly dedicated her life to the wind senshi. She doesn't mind being the shadow of her partner. She always runs accordance with her speed. She follows wherever the wind senshi goes, to the battle ground, heaven and even to hell.
Kaioh Michiru can endure anything as long as she was with Tenoh Haruka……… even being burned by the fires of hell.
And for that, she would sacrifice everything.
Michiru broke through the waves, floating on top of the gently flowing sea as she took off the headgear, listening to the sound of the gulls cry overhead. She waved to a minute form on the sandy shores as she kicked her feet and headed back towards the place where the water meets the land.
As she gained her footing on the white sand, Tenoh Haruka was waiting with a gentle smile and a towel, which Michiru accepted gratefully. Settling into Haruka's grasp, she began to speak.
"Remind me to thank Ami for the new lighter scuba gear."
Haruka laughed huskily, kissing Michiru on the cheek. "I was beginning to think you'd never surface my little mermaid."
Michiru shook her head and smiled sadly. "And never come back to you? Not even the sea's siren call is that strong."
Haruka rubbed Michiru's shoulders. "Back to the palace then?" she said, her eyes gesturing off into the distance, where their destiny awaited them.
"As long as you are always by my side," said Michiru, taking Haruka by the hand as they walked forward into the setting sun, bringing them step by step closer to a bright future.
