Thought this might be useful since the game will start soon.
Writing style: ~For auditions it doesn't matter ~If you miss something that has happened and you wish to add to it do so as if your character were thinking of it, remembering it ~Please do not God-mod (unless you are playing more than one character, then you can write for both)
Attacks and Henshin phrases ~These do not have to be in Japanese but I would like the Japanese feel to continue ~You will have the ability to make up your own henshin phrases and attacks, test them out in the appropriate section (Plot Strategies) ~Stay true to your character's planet, element and such but have fun to create new attacks! ~You can use existing attacks if you would like

If we're writing in present tense, does that mean that gameplay is in terms of actions (turn-based) rather than narrative?

A bit of both. Just because someone isn't online writing doesn't necessarily mean their character isn't there. I think present tense is easier to write but you can always throw some past tense in. Like if a character finds out play has happened while they were sleeping. That person can 'relive' their actions from their own point of view.
I probably should add that one of the staff will narrate how long each battle lasts. If a player is usually on and hasn't popped in that day, we might pause the game for a day so everyone has a chance. This is also where understudies come in. If you are going to be away, have exams, vacation, aren't feeling well either let staff know or we'll contact your understudy until you are back. That way we aren't leaving you out or delaying the game.
When understudies are completely cast I'll make a thread about their duties.

Mousie (or anyone, really), do you know of any resources that show/teach how to role-play in present tense? I've only ever written in past tense and, while I think I can adjust, I'm really concerned. Thank you!

I'm a complete pepperoni, I meant past tense. I think that is the easiest style to write in, as if it just happened. I'll create a poll for members to vote.

Pepperoni! *giggles* That made my day.
Ahhh, I definitely find past tense easier to write in. It also makes it easier to pull it all together into a coherent story afterwards.

Oh, huzzah! I would have made the effort to do whatever we chose, but I'll be so much happier with past tense. Yay!
*brushes Minxie off* No injuring yourself before we start! ;D

Since we are officially starting on Monday I thought I would let everyone know where and how to post for the story. Way at the top of the board is 'The Story'. Inside you'll find three sub-boards. Make a new thread within each sub-board.
30th Century Life once again on Earth Serenity's Coronation?
I will make a narration post in 30th Century for the Senshi/Endymion and one in Life... for the baddies. Continue to write in the thread until something occurs and it is time to make a new thread. Hope this is making sense. Don't make a new thread for each post, just for each new scenario that arises.
Hopefully the good guys will win out and we'll be able to get to the Coronation!
Again, we will begin the game on Monday February 25!!!! That is this coming Monday!

Eee, so excited! It'll start just before my con, so I'm going to have to see if we have internet access - I don't want to have to understudy so soon into the game!!
